This Week’s News:
Our base story for this week is a Big Book entitled “Mice Squeak, We Speak!”. We will be focussing on Bb in phonics and working on nouns and illustrations in stories. In science we will learn about the daytime and nighttime sky. Recipe Friday will be “star gazing treats” using rice cakes, nutella, and star sprinkles. Our word wall words are : but, blue.
Notes and Reminders:
I’m looking forward to visiting with each of you at our Fall conference. Please send back picture form envelopes and money. Picture day is this Friday, the 16th.
Homework:
Continue reading with your child for 15 minutes a night and initialing in the folder. Also, do talk with your child about the work they bring home in their folder. If something is not finished, have them finish it and bring it back.
Upcoming Events:
On Tuesday the 13th, Matt Holmes (Ethan’s dad) will come talk to the class about his job as a fireman. This goes along with our social studies unit on “Community Helpers”.
