Parents - The Gullett carnival, "Globetrotting with the Geckos", is only a few weeks away. There will be world musicians, international food, an exotic petting zoo, a giant climbing wall, a box maze, putt putt golf, fortune tellers, games of skill, henna artists, origami lessons, the infamous cake walk, Chinese calligraphy, Indian pottery making, a peddle car, a dunking booth to dunk Gullett staff, pony rides, and karaoke, just to name some highlights! Field trip information

Parents, On Monday, October 12th all kindergarten classes will be taking a field trip to Crowe's Nest Farm. All students will be taking school buses with seatbelts. The parent chaperones can meet at the school and follow the buses (chaperones - please bring $5.00 cash for your entry fee and also bring a disposable lunch for yourself). We will leave Gullett at 10:00 am and arrive back around 1:30 pm. On this date please pack your child a sack lunch. There will be no option to purchase lunch, and EVERYTHING must be able to be thrown in the garbage (no re-useable water bottles please). Field Trip - October 12th

For our first field trip we will be going to Crowe's Nest Farm on Monday, October 12th.  We plan to leave the school at 10:30 and return by 2:00. Your child will need a sack lunch that day.  More details will be coming later. We have had several parents volunteer to be chaperones for the day. Anyone is welcome to come if they would like, but we just wanted to put your mind at ease that we have enough chaperones to help with group. If you can't help this time there will be more opportunities in the future. Thank you for the help!

Back to School Night is tonight! This is your chance to get a closer look at what your child will be experiencing in the classroom each day; for parents only! See times for each grade level below. You will have opportunities to sign up to volunteer in the classroom and/or for a PTA Committee. Also, you will be able to purchase school t-shirts, pay for enrichment fees, the Gecko Fund, and purchase gift cards. So, bring your checkbook! Museum Madness

Celebrate Earth Day - Walk to school!

Earth Dat is Tuesday, April 22 this year. Join your fellow Geckos and walk, run, or bike to school! If you live too far from Gullett to walk, run, or bike to school,  a group of parents will meet at Northwest Park and depart at 7:15am to walk together to school.

Gullett Elementary family movie night

A free event! Gullett Elementary's family movie night is April 18, 6:30pm at the Gullett Cafeteria.  It's free! The movie is My Neighbor Totoro, a magical film that's appropriate for all ages. Bring a blanket and some change for refreshments -- or bring your own!

Poem and songbook presentation at assembly, April 4

Our class will be performing poem and songbook selections at the morning assembly, 7:45-8am on Friday, April 4. Ms. Johnson will be sending a note home soon, along with the poem on which your child will be featured. Don't forget to help your child practice her or his poem at home!

Spring Kinder Kapers - March 28

Our spring Kinder Kapers program is Friday, March 28 at 8am. This is the dancing program: Ms. Jeffrey and Ms. Lind have been working on a dance performance with all the kindergarten children.  It will come right after the third-fifth grade assembly and will last approximately 30 minutes.
